Planet Sketch board

In 2006 I worked for Aardman as a story artist on Planet Sketch 2.
It was an animated sketch show for children, for those who are not familiar with it.
Every episode contained 10 to 15 sketches, this sketch is one of the Ninja Handy man series.It took me 1 to 3 days to board a sketch depending on the script. Although the deadline was short I did enjoy doing them.

I've been busy these last months and to be honest forgot about blogging for quite a while.This is a character I'm designing on a new show, it was a 1e attempt so it will not be used... so I can post it.

Annecy 2007

After a week of working, drinking and eating the Annecy film festival has finished, I had a great time, met a lot of people and got lots of interest in my project "Max in a Million".

First of all I want to say a big thank you to Uli Meyer who offered me a space on his Monster Mania stand
For people who have never been to Annecy it's a very beautiful place.

Annecy is also known for it's great food especially their "moules frites" and "escargots" demonstrated by Boris Hiestand and Uli Meyer

I've had the pleasure to meet Harald Siepermann who's work and blog I've been admiring for quite some years... it was great fun hanging out and exchanging some animation thoughts...

I had the pleasure to meet Bibo Bergeron the creator/director of his new feature "Monster in Paris". He bestowed me with the honor of drawing my caricature... Merci monsieur Bibo!

Annecy

The Annecy animation film festival will be happening this year from 11-06 till 16-06-07.

This year I will be joining Uli Meyer where he will have a stand promoting his CG feature film "Monster Mania".

Uli has been so kind to preserve a space on his stand where I can promote my animated TV show " Max in a Million". So I'm truly gratefull to Uli for giving me the opportunity to do so.

During the past years I have been developing my own TV show.

Recently I've finished my bible and I've written a treatment for a pilot episode , which was then transformed in a script by Paul Mc Keown and Christian de Vita.

The work you see is the card that I put together for the Annecy festival.

So if you're planning to attend the festival come and visit us! :)

When I'm back I will be posting some pics from the festival.

Warm up sketch

A couple of months ago I boarded for Aardman on Planet Sketch, series 2, most of the sketches I boarded out where Ninja Handy man ones.

They actually do not really look like the Ninja Handy man but that's the way I preferred drawing him and because it's a CG show it didn't really matter... These are a few warm up ones I did before I started boarding.

This is an old design of an alien- bounty hunter, he's one of the many "possible" characters on my show. I hope you enjoy it as much as I had designing him. :)

My Little Petshop

A while ago I was asked to re-design some characters from My Little Petshop.
They wanted the characters less cute and slightly more older... at the end they stack more to what it originally was and therefore these designs where rejected.

But... I enjoyed doing them so therefore...

BETA BLOGGER = TROUBLE

My fellow bloggers, I've recently have updated my blog account to beta blogger, because they advertised how much better it was... But since then I can't post my stuff anymore which really annoyes me alot.

I've written to blogger help and they promised me to help me out asap, but that's 10 days ago.

So as soon the problem is solved I will start posting again.

In the mean time DO NOT change to beta blogger!!
